Miami SCORES Powered by Concacaf Announces Founding Executive Director
America SCORES is thrilled to announce the appointment of Rob Uvanovic, "Coach Rob", as the Founding Executive Director of Miami SCORES Powered by Concacaf. Most recently serving as America SCORES' Chief Growth Officer, Rob has a wealth of international and local experience, including 15 years of soccer coaching experience and crucially, prior experience as the Executive Director of America SCORES New York from 2011-2015. Rob's passion for both the sport of soccer and the SCORES mission are evident to all of those who have worked with him. His vision has contributed to the international success of the America SCORES Cup, which is now taking place in 16 cities across North America and raising on average ~$2M annually, making it the world's largest annual corporate charity soccer tournament series.
In between his time at SCORES, Rob received his MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC-Berkeley, spent a number of years leading multimillion dollar strategy projects at Deloitte Consulting, and co-founded his own company, navu, which serves as an accelerator for sustainable and eco-conscious startups.
Upon his appointment, Rob expressed his enthusiasm for the role, explaining, “I am beyond excited and deeply honored to lead Miami SCORES Powered by Concacaf as your Executive Director as we open our doors and make a deep impact in the lives of Miami youth as a partner in this community with Concacaf."
This is huge news for the community! Huge congratulations to the new Executive Director—it’s inspiring to see Miami SCORES partnering with Concacaf to empower young people through sports and literacy. Projects like this make such a real difference. Looking at Coach Rob’s impressive journey immediately reminds me of a high-level game of quordle. Successfully solving all four target words simultaneously requires patience, strategic thinking, and the precise execution of every move. Rob Uvanovic is "solving" the challenge of community development using four similarly strategic "keywords": Sports (Soccer), Education (SCORES), Business (MBA/Deloitte), and Community (Concacaf).
